An informed community has a stronger voice.

We encourage civic education, nonpartisan dialogue, and participation in the decisions that affect our community.

Understand. Discuss. Participate.

Our priority is to bring civic information closer to the Dominican community: understanding institutions, learning about public processes, and opening conversations about the issues that affect everyday life.

Participation starts close to home

Small steps build community, too.

Listening to a neighbor, sharing an idea, or giving time to a shared project: participation can begin with what is already within reach. Each contribution opens a conversation and a chance to do something together.

Three ways to get started.

01

Prepare a question for a public office

  1. Summarize your question and the outcome you are seeking in a few sentences.
  2. Identify the municipality, state, or country involved; find the office through its official website.
  3. Ask about the appropriate channel and keep a record of your inquiry. Avoid sending sensitive documents to unverified contacts.
02

Join a public conversation

  1. Choose a topic you know through experience: education, community, or services, for example.
  2. Look for the agenda and participation conditions on the institution’s official website.
  3. Prepare a specific question, listen to other perspectives, and note the next step.
03

Turn a concern into a proposal

  1. Describe what you observe and who it affects, without speaking for people you have not consulted.
  2. Listen to others who share the interest and identify one small, achievable action.
  3. Share the idea with the team to explore a conversation or collaboration.

We share general orientation and public links. The movement does not represent the linked agencies or provide legal, immigration, medical, or financial advice. Ask the relevant institution about requirements and decisions concerning your situation.
